Terpenes finally get the attention they deserve in a 2021 consumer-friendly book, TerpTypes, by SATIVA editor, Jeff Cole, an invaluable reference of Cannabis terpene profiles. The book is a visual reference of Cannabis terpene profiles and is categorized by terpene dominance. Cole explains in TerpTypes, that terpene dominance affects our interaction with cannabinoids like THC and CBD, and that the terpene profile acts to loosely direct specific cannabinoid activity in different parts of the body based on cannabinoid receptors, cannabinoids and terpenoids.

Asked why this book came to be, Cole answered, “I’m an educator obsessed with the bio- and neurological activity of cannabinoids and terpenoids. I can’t help but teach the subject.”
